Why do we need you?

We’re looking for a self-starter who takes over a leading role in further developing our fast-growing business and in driving growth. Over the past two years, we have built an excellent basis with enthusiastic customers. To take on the next level, accelerate our growth and extend our customer base, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team. We are in need of an experienced and smart mind that identifies new opportunities, brings in innovative ideas on how to approach potential customers, and can facilitate the Sales process. Ideally you already have a network in relevant industries. We need you to make Lepaya known worldwide - that’s all we want! As you know our (potential) customers by heart, you will in addition work on the improvement of our product in the very first steps of client contact. How to improve our onboarding? How to ensure a smooth Lepaya journey? We are looking for your answers! To achieve all these goals, you will, of course, be working closely together with different teams within Lepaya. 


Specifically, what we would expect you to deliver over the next 6-12 months? 

In a nutshell, in 6-12 months, we expect you to have brought on-board a solid number of great clients, which are doing recurring business with us. To realize this, you

  • Conduct and deliver segment- and eco-system analyses: what does the market look like, or which segment are most profitable for us? How can we extend our client base fastest?  
  • Find the new business: create new business opportunities and, of course, close them, but also evaluate and establish new partnership opportunities;
  • Develop acquisition channels for new clients, and prepare for and pitch in client meetings;
  • Evaluate user needs and translate these into requirements for our product;



Requirements

In an ideal world, who would you be?

  • You have an entrepreneurial and commercially savvy mindset;
  • You have 3+ years of business development experience involving complex products or complex stakeholders (e.g. multinationals);
  • You are eager to be responsible for growth, you will do whatever it takes to make growth happen and all you strive for is ambitious goals;
  • You understand our customer - either because you have worked with HR professionals before, or because you love the segment and are naturally in sync with their challenges;
  • You are committed, proactive and driven;
  • You are analytical and data is the basis of your daily work;
  • You are self-motivated and self-organized;
  • You thrive in and enjoy the dynamics of a fast-growing scale-up and you are highly adaptive to a fast-paced environment;
  • You are fluent in Dutch (Flemish), French & English;


We value capabilities over formal experience, yet what would we love to see on your resume?

  • You have experience in entrepreneurial work;
  • In the past, you have sold to or maintained commercial relationships with decision-makers in the field of Human Resources / Learning & Development;
  • You have a minimum of ~5 years overall experience with at least 2 years in a high-performance context;
